ST PETERSBURG: DISCOVER THE MULTI-PURPOSE VENUE "LENINGRAD CENTRE"

Leningrad Center is a unique synthesis of genres, styles and technologies. Originally a city mansion, the historical building has seen vernissages under the auspices of the Russian Czar in the 19th century, decades of cinema throughout the Soviet era and glamorous opening nights in the presence of famous actors in late 20th century.

Its recent sensitive renovation, led by the world-renown Spanish architect Ricardo Bofill, resulted in a flexible mix of spaces: a theatre hall for a large variety of events from fashion shows to theatre performances, a small stage, two bars and a top floor restaurant with panoramic views. In creating the chic urban venue, another important contributor to its success was the famous Russian fashion designer Valentin Yudashkin who designed some of the rich dramatic interiors and décor.

The 340-seat main hall of Leningrad Center provides maximum flexibility to accommodate a wide variety of configurations. A classical theater redesigned to meet the requirements of the modern world, the entrance to the auditorium is concealed behind the largest video wall in Europe, the curtain is made of a “live fabric” with a 3D effect while the only kinetic sculpture in Russia doubles as a chandelier here. Fitted out with the latest audio and digital broadcast systems, the building’s spaces incorporate sound proofing materials throughout to guarantee optimal acoustic performance.
