It is a great pleasure to announce that the international conference “Quality Education for Children at Social Risk”, for the organisers of which Via Hansa PCO provided the full scope of conference services, has been nominated for the Estonian Convention Bureau’s annual award “Conference of the Year”.

The nomination was submitted by Tallinn City Tourist Office & Convention Bureau who stressed that one of the main values of the conference was the unique way its program combined business and pleasure while also introducing the Estonian culture and educational traditions in a versatile manner. It is also important to acknowledge the non-profit sector for taking on the organizing of such a large event which was carried out most successfully.

The international conference of SOS Children’s Villages with the full title “Quality Education for Children at Social Risk. Sharing best practices and starting a dialogue” was held on 17-21 March 2014 in Tallinn and the neighbouring small town Keila, the location of the first Estonian SOS Children’s Village. The total number of delegates was 198 with 114 foreign participants coming from 28 different countries.
