Held each spring since 2009, Tallinn Music Week (TMW) is a weeklong celebration of talent, curiosity, creativity, freedom and equality. One of Europe's fastest growing city festivals unlocks some of Tallinn’s hidden locations and brings the city into the light with a carefully crafted program of various forms of art

Tallinn Birgitta Festival 2015 Haydn Creation

BIRGITTA FESTIVAL

The first Birgitta Festival in the historical ruins of Pirita Convent was held in 2005. During its 10 years in action the artistic ambitions and special atmosphere have firmly rooted the festival in the cultural agenda of Tallinn and the whole Baltic region. Festival focuses on the music theatre with program emphasising the spirituality of the historical convent. Highlights in 2017 will be the festival's own production of the oratorio "The Seasons" by Joseph Haydn and Puccini's "Tosca" by the English Touring Opera with the local conductor Risto Joost.
