3. COPENHAGEN: Hilton part of the recent hotel boom

Hilton has announced plans to open a new hotel in the heart of Copenhagen in 2020. The seven-storey Hilton Copenhagen City Centre will have 400 guest rooms along with more than 600 square metres of function space for meetings and events.  It will be one of the several international hotel (re)openings in the Danish capital within just a couple of years. Next to major chains, the recent additions include also several notable luxury boutique hotels such as Sanders and Nobis, both opened in 2017.

5. RIGA: Hidden Museum with Powerful Message

Zanis Lipke Memorial has recently become one of the most popular sights in Riga. This very special museum in a small wooden house is dedicated to a man who saved dozens of Jewish lives in the Nazi-occupied Riga at the time of World War II.
While Zanis Lipke Memorial has been nominated for the Council of Europe Museum Prize, the building itself was shortlisted for the World Architecture Award. To make your visit even more special, we invite you to meet the architect Zaiga Gaile, thanks to whose vision the former village of fishermen is now a modern urban space.

6. ST PETERSBURG: IMPRESSIVE RESTAURANT BLOK

Located on the top floor of Leningrad Centre with nice views of the Taurida Gardens, restaurant Blok in St Petersburg impresses with its amazingly wide choice of meat dishes as well as the exquisite interior design. Created by a well known restaurateur Alexander Rappoport, restaurant Blok is arguable the best meat restaurant in Russia. The restaurant is suitable also for larger groups with 200 seats in the main hall and in the summertime additional seating outdoors on two terraces.

Already for the second year in a row, Condé Nast Traveler has rated the Christmas tree of Vilnius among the world's best Christmas lights. The most notable Christmas tree of Lithuania is located on Cathedral Square in the heart of the capital’s UNESCO listed Old Town. 12. RIGA: VEF CULTURE PALACE RE-OPENED

On the occasion of Latvia's 99th anniversary the VEF Culture Palace in Riga was re-opened after major reconstruction works. Originally built in 1950s and inaugurated in 1960, the majestic Culture Palace is one of the most impressive buildings in Riga and will now after major reconstruction once again become a favourite venue for concerts, congresses and festive corporate events. There are several different halls available for rent at the Culture Palace, the largest of them with 800 seats.

14. ST PETERSBURG POPULAR AMONG CHINESE VIP TRAVELERS

In 2016 a total of 107,000 Chinese guests visited St. Petersburg for business and leisure, among them a growing ratio of VIP travelers. The sophisticated travelers explore Russian history and arts, they are eager to visit Treasure Gallery of the Hermitage and Yusupovs Palace.
